Since April 2024, Greg has overseen Shell’s renewable power generation, as well as power and gas retailing (both B2B & B2C) activities globally. Joining Shell initially in Australia, he has been with the company for over 30 years across Downstream marketing and operations. 

Greg was based in Singapore, leading acquisitions and divestment projects across Asia Pacific, followed by general management of regional and global business units in Shell’s Global Commercial business (London). He returned to Australia in 2013 to lead Upstream business development and act as shareholder representative for the Arrow Energy joint venture from 2015. 

In January 2019, he moved to lead Shell’s Trading business in Australia with the remit to enter the domestic power market. This led to the acquisition of ERM Power and supporting generation positions, which as CEO of Shell Energy Australia he led successfully until August 2023. 

Greg moved to London to take up the position of Senior Vice President Shell Energy Europe and Emerging Markets Power for eight months before taking on the global Executive Vice President Shell Energy role.
