Kjetel Digre was named Chief Executive Officer of Aker Solutions in 2020. He is the head of the Executive Management Team and is responsible for the overall performance of Aker Solutions.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Digre was the Senior Vice President and head of Operations and Asset Development for Aker BP. Before this, he held key management roles with Cognite, a world-leading company specializing in the digitalization of industrial operations. 

Mr. Digre worked at Equinor from 1993 – 2018, holding several positions within project execution and field development. He was the Senior Vice President and Project Director for the Johan Sverdrup Field Development, one of the world’s largest oil and gas projects in that period. 

Mr. Digre has a proven track record of strong leadership and collaboration. He also has extensive experience in using digitalization to transform efficiency in large and complex projects. In 2020, he led the successful merger of Aker Solutions and Kvaerner to establish an international contractor. The organization has approximately 11,000 employees, with operations in more than 15 countries around the globe. 

Mr. Digre holds an MSc with distinction in Subsea and Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland.
