Meg Gentle
Meg Gentle is an energy expert and experienced executive from Houston, Texas. As CEO of Gemstone Investments, Meg is making investments in the energy sector that advance innovation and enhance global security. Meg is also an Executive Director of the Board of HIF Global, where she is developing multi-billion-dollar projects that will capture, reuse, and recycle CO2 to produce advanced, cleaner fuels that can be used by existing cars, trucks, ships, and airplanes without any modification to their engines.
The construction of new production facilities will bring billions of dollars of capital investment and thousands of jobs to underdeveloped communities while utilizing existing energy systems and enhancing energy security worldwide.
Meg spent her career developing large-scale energy infrastructure projects, pioneering the emergence of the United States as the largest global supplier of natural gas by delivering cleaner energy to international markets.
Meg deployed over $30 billion into U.S. LNG development and construction, with significant leadership in the creation of Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG, Cheniere’s Corpus Christi LNG, Freeport LNG, and Woodside’s Louisiana LNG. Meg has served in numerous senior management positions, including President and CEO of Tellurian Inc., CFO, EVP Marketing, and SVP Strategic Planning and Finance of Cheniere Energy Inc., and Manager of Strategic Planning for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
Meg has served on the board of directors of Cheniere Energy Partners and Tellurian and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ovintiv, a leading North American oil and natural gas producer.
Meg is a member of the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council, a think tank devoted to shaping policy choices and strategies to create a more free, secure, and prosperous world; and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an organization dedicated to helping citizens better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other countries.
An active philanthropist in her community, Meg serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Visitors of the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and is the Chairperson of the Governing Board of Casa de Esperanza – the “House of Hope” for children in crisis in Houston. She has a B.A. in international affairs and economics from James Madison University and an MBA from Rice University.
