William H. Flores
Bill Flores is a business leader, corporate governance expert, public policy advocate, and frequent speaker on energy, economics, leadership, and public service. From 2011 to 2021, he served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’ 17th Congressional District, where he played a key role on the House Energy & Commerce, Budget, Veterans’ Affairs, and Natural Resources Committees. During his tenure, he was widely regarded as a thought leader in shaping national energy policy.
Prior to his congressional service, Mr. Flores spent over two decades in senior executive and board leadership roles across both public and private enterprises. His private sector career focused on job creation, economic growth, and delivering long-term value to a broad range of stakeholders—including public company shareholders, private equity firms, and institutional investors such as pension and retirement funds.
He currently serves as Chair of the Boards of ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas) and Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ), and as a Director of CO2 Energy Transition Corporation (NASDAQ), Houston Christian University (Trustee), and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). He is also a member of the Strategic Advisory Board of Veriten LLC.
A licensed CPA in Texas, Mr. Flores holds a BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and an MBA from Houston Christian University. He and his wife, Gina, have two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and four awesome grandkids. Outside of his professional pursuits, he is passionate about flying and snow skiing.
