Jennifer Obertino is AECOM’s Global Energy Practice Leader and leads a team of Energy practitioners around the world, guiding AECOM’s efforts to help clients develop and deliver transformative energy infrastructure projects and programs for the future. 

As Senior Vice President, Jennifer is responsible for bringing the full breadth of AECOM’s capabilities in the Next Generation Energy market including energy advisory, grid modernization, renewable energy, future fuels, vehicle electrification, energy efficiencies and offshore wind power and environment sector ensuring the firm’s commitment to environment, social and governance (ESG) principles. 

Jennifer has a long history of working on large scale infrastructure projects and developing the teams and programs to support them. Example projects include: hydrogen production facilities, grid resiliency, offshore wind marine/landside infrastructure, solar fields, and nuclear generation. 

Jennifer and her teams are focused on delivering reliable, resilient, affordable, and secure energy projects that meet capacity demands and decarbonization goals. 

Throughout the 17 years with AECOM, Jennifer has had numerous roles leading Environmental Remediation, Compliance, Air, Permitting and Planning, and Civil Infrastructure teams with a focus on public, private, and government markets. 

Jennifer resides in the United States. Prior to joining AECOM, Jennifer had leadership roles in the state government department of transportation. She has over 30 years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
